Peregrine Diary 2002

24th June:

On Sunday 23rd June both of the adult birds were spotted on Sussex Heights and then on Monday 24th June the adults were back there with one of their chicks and there were another two chicks on the West Pier amongst the cormorants. It seems that this year they nested on the West Pier. Once again, all of the chicks are female.

27th April:

It looks as if the birds are not going to be nesting on Sussex Heights this year. They visited last Sunday, went missing again, but have reappeared today.

18th April:

After going missing for month the two peregrines have today been seen (and heard!!) on Sussex Heights again.

14th April:

All a bit of a mystery...

After returning to the nesting box in mid March and seemingly preparing to lay eggs the birds have disappeared. Neither has been seen at the building since then and it is unclear what has happened to them or where they are...

Male peregrine Both adult peregrines

23rd March:

Our coverage started on the 23rd of March, more information on the progress of the birds will be made available as it happens.
