A SEAFRONT conservation group is fighting plans for communal rubbish bins.
The Regency Square Area Society is asking Brighton and Hove City Council to reconsider introducing large black bins similar to ones in Montpelier Crescent.
Members say Regency Square is at the heart of the city's tourist and conference industries and the bins would be unsightly.
A spokesman said: "We have campaigned for a better refuse service and things are much improved.
"The collection arrangements do not need to be changed and we don't want them to be changed."
