EXTRA time will be allowed for speakers when councillors consider plans for new seafront buildings.
The application for leisure pavilions on either side of the West Pier in Brighton will go before Brighton and Hove planning committee on Wednesday February 26.
There will be 15 minutes for supporters of the scheme by developers St Modwen and 15 minutes for opponents. Normally each side gets three minutes.
The meeting, open to the public, will be at Hove Town Hall from 1pm.
St Modwen, backed by the West Pier Trust, says the buildings are essential for the viability of the restored pier but opponents say they are too big.
Acting committee chairman Bob Garden said: "The committee will be visiting the site and be briefed by Colliers CRE, independent advisers to the council and English Heritage."
People interested in speaking must say if they support or oppose the application and whether they are representing an official body.
They should write to Members Services, Room 121, Kings House, Grand Avenue, Hove, BN3 2LS, or e-mail members.services@brighton-hove.gov.uk by noon on Thursday.
