Autumn 2003
Autumn 2003 - The west Pier is now just a silhouette of its former self. It remains to be seen how much will be left if it is buffeted by storms again this winter.
The pier still has a resident colony of starlings which can be seen in the early evening swirling, en masse, around the pier-head.
