Restoration

The Society vehemently oppose the plans submitted by St.Modwen for development on the seafront as we believe they are excessive and obtrusive. The buildings proposed would rise from the lower promenade to a level considerably above the level of Kings Road effectively blocking out completely the view of the pier that they wish to restore from the upper promenade and Regency Square.

We appreciate that the ongoing future of the West Pier needs to be financially viable but not at any cost, and believe there must be a more acceptable solution.

We would appreciate all comments on the current proposal which may be submitted on our comments page.
